Toddler Favorite Parties
When toddlers have a birthday, their favorite television shows often become the theme that their parties are centered around. It gives us the greatest pleasure in life to be able to give our children their every hearts’ desire.
If our child gets excited to see Blues Clues bouncing around the television, wouldn’t they be just as excited with a Blues Clues room and Blues Clues clothes and Blues Clues toys? To see the excitement in our toddlers faces as they point at their Blues Clues decorations fills us with the same excitement.
There are quite a few choices for your toddlers birthday party. Winnie the Pooh is probably the most popular and diverse theme. You can choose to have a Disney Winnie the Pooh party with the modern characters, or you can choose the classic Pooh theme with the story book characters. If you choose to go with the classic Pooh party, think about combining it with a story book theme. Ask guests to add to the childs book collection by bringing a book instead of a card. The centerpieces can be old books arranged neatly in a pile, or the favors themselves can be a small book for each guest.
You can also combine a music theme with The Wiggles theme. Use large letters and numbers as decorations for a Sesame Street theme. To find different items to match your toddlers birthday theme, visit www.character-party-supplies.com. To be realistic, it’s not the decorations that most excite the child at his or her party; it’s the freedom to finally be able to run wild and not get in trouble for it. If they want to dive head first into their cake and smear it all over their hair, what are the consequences besides a few messy pictures taken and the laughter of the adults who have come to share in the memory?

More than the taste, we need to concentrate in shape, color, and size of the birthday cake. 1st Birthday Beginners Party Menu Yummy Ideas
Planning an interesting 1st birthday party menu is challenging at best. Many of the guests will still be eating toddler prepared foods. Foods that are special for them and still palatable for adult guests are few and far between.
One menu direction could involve sloppy Joes and punch. The canned sauce mixes prepared according to package directions kept warm in crock pots are best. They are easy to serve on fresh hamburger buns and left over meat can just be put in the fridge. A pickle tray serves as a good vegetable for this crowd. Young children like finger foods. Tiny fingers and mouths can handle pickles, olives and canned sausages. Potato sticks or French fries are a natural but so are cheese sticks. Crackers especially in fun shapes are popular with young children. Of course pudding or flavored gelatin would be fine too. After dinner mints, candy covered chocolates or gummies served in plastic bowls should be welcome when the meal has been cleared away. Always use paper party supplies–plates, napkins, bowls and tablecloths– with young children since they like the colorful fun decorations which are easily thrown out for quick clean up.
Purchased character birthday cake is not necessary here because the children are usually too young to care that much. Using a cake mix and canned icings to make the basic cake then using packaged decorations will be a great yet inexpensive alternative. When there is time to make them clown ice cream cones are sure to make them smile. To make use sugar cones and a single dip of any flavor ice cream. Turn upside down in paper cupcake wrappers. Make a clown face on each with decorator icing. Place on trays and store in the coldest freezer setting. Serve with birthday cake or separately.

Incredibles Kid Birthday Party Idea
Mr. Incredible and Elastiwoman to the Rescue.
The Incredibles based on the hit Disney movie has become a favorite fun kid birthday party theme.
The Incredibles Invitations
Have fun creating a “top secret” message as your Incredibles child birthday party theme invitation.
You might say something like this. “Calling all superheros… The Incredibles need your help!”
“You’re invited to help Mr. Incredible and Elastiwoman protect our city from the evil villain, “syndrom” at (insert the first and last name of your birthday child)’s birthday party… And we’re celebrating with The Incredibles.” “The superhero birthday action begins on (date of party).”
“Our superhero birthday party location is top secret and will be known only to our superhero guests… Only by holding this invitation up and facing it toward a mirror will you be able to decode this secret address message.”
(Write the address backwards on the invitation so it will appear correctly when held up to a mirror).
“Our superhero birthday party fun begins at (time) and will end at (time).”
“Superhero refreshments will be served.”
“All superhero party guests are requested to RSVP using the secret telephone number known only to our invited superhero guests.(phone number)”
“Every party guest wearing an Incredibles costume will be given a special secret party favor.”
Have fun and be creative with your invitation. Your guests will quickly get the idea that this party is going to be special. They won’t be able to wait for your birthday party!
The Incredibles Decorations
Yellow, red and black are the main colors for The Incredibles.
Get your Incredibles birthday party theme started right.
Decorate with yellow, red and black balloons, and crepe paper… Put “superhero” signs all over the place. Next to your telephone put a sign that reads “telephone for superheros only.” On the door to the restroom put up a sign that reads, “Superhero Restroom.”
Have fun, be creative, it’s an Incredibles superhero party!
On your front door, attach yellow, red and black balloons and a sign that reads “Secret Location, (name of your birthday child)’s Incredibles, superhero birthday party.”
Incredibles Birthday Party Theme Costumes
Costumes are a great way to get everyone into your Incredibles birthday party theme.
There are excellent online party stores and costume stores where you’ll find a great selection of costumes including The Incredibles…
Or you can try putting together your own costume… Using yellow, red and black as your main colors, put together your own creative version of Mr. Incredible or Elastiwoman.
Say Cheese
Remember your camera, digital camera and video camera… You’re going to want to take lots of pictures and video of your birthday child and all their friends in costume. You’ll want to remember how everyone looked in their Incredibles birthday party theme costumes.
Get Your Incredibles Party Started Right
You want to start your party as soon as the first guest arrives… Don’t sit around waiting for everyone else, start having fun.
Have a large glass or glass jar filled with yellow and red jelly beans and tell each guest to use their superhero X-Ray vision to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar…
Write everyone’s name on one piece of paper and put their guess next to their name… Then just before your party ends, announce the superhero guest with the best X-Ray vision. (whoever guessed closest to the actual number of jelly beans in the jar wins.)
And remember to actually count the number of jelly beans you put in the jar before your birthday party begins… Then write the actual number on a piece of paper and put that piece of paper somewhere safe and where you can easily get to it.
The Incredibles Movie And CD Fun
Set your Incredibles birthday party theme right away by having The Incredibles movie DVD or video playing on your TV as your guests arrive. (You can turn the sound down low or off)… You can also surprise your birthday child by announcing that The Incredibles DVD or video is one of their birthday gifts…
For music during your birthday party games and activities, play The Incredibles movie soundtrack CD. This is an excellent way to keep your Incredibles birthday party theme going… You can also make the CD a gift for your birthday child.
The Incredibles Coloring Book
Depending on the age of your group, you can pick up an Incredibles coloring book and some small boxes of crayons… Take pages out of the coloring book and let your party guests choose pages to color… This is also a fairly quiet activity.
The Incredibles Puzzle
Kids love puzzles and what better way for your guests to get to know each other than working on a puzzle together… Having a puzzle that fits your Incredibles birthday party theme is an added bonus.
The Incredibles Superhero Food and Drink
Even The Incredibles superheros need to replentish their energy after a long day of saving the world from the villainous “Syndrom.”
Consider these fun superhero foods
How about a “superhero sandwich?” Let each guest build their own (super) hero sandwich… Keep it simple and put fun superhero labels on everything.
“Power Bread”
“More Power Mustard”
“Red Energy Sauce” (ketchup)
“Power Pickles”
“Total Energy Turkey”
“Super-Sauce Mayo”
“Mr. Incredible Celery”
“Elastiwoman Cheese Slices”
“Raw Energy Raisins”
“Power Packed Carrot Sticks”
The Incredibles Superhero Energy Drinks
Try mixing Ginger Ale with cherry ice cream for a colorful superhero drink.
Punch can be re-named “The Incredibles Super Sauce”
For a fun and creative drink project, let your party guests mix three different and colorful Cool Aid drinks and Ginger Ale into their very own superhero drink… Cherry and Lime anyone?
For extra fizz, let them add pop-rocks…
Your Incredibles birthday party theme is going to be a big hit!

*A Tip From Grandpa Mike
When I was a boy, one of my favorite Halloween costumes was a pirate costume.

Cut the shirt sleeves to 3/4 length and fray the edge of the sleeves so they look worn… Cut the pant legs to 3/4 length and fray the edges so they look worn and “ship wrecked”.
You can make an eye patch out of a small piece of black card stock or black cloth… Attach a black string or shoe lace to the eye patch and tie it around your child’s head.
A wide black belt with a large buckle (you can make a buckle) can be cut to fit around your child’s waist.
Fun Pirate Make-Up
You can complete your child’s pirate look by putting black smudges on their face with an eyebrow pencil. Smear it around to look like a beard on a rough pirate face.

Free Party Games For Children
Everyone knows that games are the highlight of the party. Most of the children go to parties because of the fun-filled games and prizes. Without games the children’s party probably wont have life.
Games in parties are usually free. You don’t have to spend some money for this kind of entertainment. That is because games don’t have to be expensive or fancy, they are merely for fun and amusement.
Barn Buddies
You whisper a name of one farm animal to each child. Make sure you also tell the same animal once to another child. Let each child know that there is another person that is similar to the farm animal given to him or her to act like. Throughout this party the children should ask to one another yes and no questions. They should eventually figure out who is the same animal as him or her.
After the party, let everyone sit down beside who they think is their “Barn Buddy”. If they got the wrong “Barn Buddy” review the clues with the children. As soon as everyone figures out the right buddy, let them sit again beside their “Farm Buddies”.
Fruit Basket
Form a circle with chairs. The chairs should be one less than the number of players. The person standing says,”I’m grateful for… (a characteristic, outfit or state of a person)” and every child with that characteristic stands up and scurries for another chair to sit on. While the children are searching for another chair, someone takes one chair away.
One child will have no chair to sit on and will have to be out of the game. The last person to be able to sit down will again say,” I’m gratefull for…” And this will be repeated until you wish to end the game.
Tug Of Water
This game can only be done if you have a sprinkler. Set on the srinkler in your yard or lawn. Divide the children into two groups. Each group should hold on an end of a garden hose. As soon as a non-player says, “Go!” each group starts to pull on the rope with the objective of leading or pulling the opposing team into the srinkler. Of course, the team that gets wet loses and the team that stays dry wins.
Freeze!
When the music starts playing the children starts dancing and moving to the beat. They dance until the music is stopped then they should freeze even though they are in a difficult position. Whoever is caught moving is out of the game.

Choosing Your Kid’s Birthday Cakes
Cake is always a delightful treat no matter what the occasion. If you are choosing your kid’s birthday cakes you can’t go wrong when you choose a design of their favorite character. Cakes can be many different flavors from ice cream cakes, chocolate with chocolate icing, white cake with butter cream frosting, and many others. When you are choosing your kid’s birthday cake you need to first know what they like.
Most children prefer the sweetest cakes with their favorite characters. Some prefer carrot cakes or even German chocolate cake. When you are selecting a birthday cake for your child you may find it is easy to bring the child with you to the store. There you can both look through the cake books and find the perfect style of cake. They can choose their favorite cake and icing along with the theme of the cake.
The theme of the cake should also be chosen in consideration to the party. Some themes for birthday parties include pirates, favorite Disney characters, princess themes, car themes, and many other themes. Your kid’s birthday cake should reflect the theme. If you are looking for something a little different you may even try online. Online can offer your many resources for choosing the best theme for the birthday party as well as help you plan the activities you will have. Once you have determined the theme and type of cake you can then create the shape of the cake.
Some parents chose to avoid going to cake stores or the grocery store for their kid’s birthday cake. Instead they create the cake at home. If you are interested in creating a theme based cake at home you will need several cake pans. You may even need to have purchase specialized cake pans to create the shape of the cake.

Great Boy’s Birthday Party Ideas
Planning a party can be quite hard, especially if it’s for a child. The fact is, most people today fail to realize just how much the preferences of children have changed. The days of cake, ice cream and clowns are long gone.
When you want to throw a boy’s birthday party, for example, you should definitely plan it out carefully beforehand. Here are some great boy’s birthday party ideas to help you:
1. Superhero
Nothing quite captures a young boy’s imagination than superheroes. If you choose to go with this boy’s birthday party idea, then you need to do a bit of research. In the past, parents have been able to get away with faking a superhero birthday part by hiring someone to play “captain super amazing” or another such unknown.
However, you should realize that because of the resurgence of comic book movies, children are much more aware of which superheroes they would like to come to their party. If you are planning to make use of this boy’s birthday party idea, you have to realize that you need to truly prepare for it since kids’ expectations regarding superheroes can be quite high.
2. Sports and Games
This boy’s birthday party idea involves you actually taking the time to plan an outing and reserving a bowling alley, a paintball arena, or other types of sports places where you can hold a party while providing fun activities for the guests.
In implementing this boy’s birthday party idea, you need to make sure that the guests and not just the celebrant will be able to participate in the activities. You also need to remember that inviting the guests for this type of party would require you to tell them what sort of activities are involved and what to wear.
3. Costume
Everyone loves the chance to get to change their entire looks, especially kids. A great boy’s birthday party idea would be a costume party. Remember to tell the guests if you are implementing this boy’s birthday party idea as you do not want someone feeling left out.
You should also provide a place where people can change so that they may go to or leave from the party in ordinary clothes if they want to. Implementing this boy’s birthday party idea may also require you to plan out some sort of contest or games which involves the children’s costumes.

Princess Birthday Party Ideas – An Enchanting Birthday
Once upon a time in a kingdom run by the most wonderful king and queen (you), there lived a beautiful princess (your child) who was preparing to celebrate her birthday.
Then one night the princess had a dream and in her dream she wished for an enchanted princess birthday party.
The King and Queen wanted to make the princess’s dream come true, so they planned a lovely party just to please their daughter.
With these enchanted princess birthday party ideas, your child’s wishes and dreams will come true.
Imagine your little girl all dressed up in her royal princess costume, happily greeting her party guests as they arrive for her special celebration.
Invitations
I suggest the “royal treatment” for your special celebration announcements.
As the royal family, you may wish to send your invitations on parchment paper. When your invitation is ready to deliver, roll up the parchment paper and tie a bright red or purple ribbon around it.
Your royal wording might start off like this.
“Announcing a royal celebration”
“Once upon a time… As a royal subject, your presence is requested by the king and queen of the kingdom (your last name) to attend an enchanted Princess Birthday Party for her highness, princess (your child’s first and last name) on the magical occasion of her (how old she will be) birthday.”
“This royal celebration will be a princess costume party where all are invited to dress in their princess wardrobe. Our enchanted birthday party will take place on (day and date) and will begin at (time) with our celebration concluding at precisely (end time of your party).”
“The King and Queen request that all royal subjects planning to be in attendance, please RSVP by (day and date).”
“Her royal highness princess (your child’s first name) looks forward to your attendance at her princess birthday party which promises to be an enchanting time for all.”
“Our party will take place at the castle (families last name) located at (address).
Deliver Your Invitation
Here’s a fun idea. Have someone in costume actually hand deliver your invitations. Imagine how surprised and delighted your party guests will be. And they’ll know this party is going to be very special. What fun.
Royal Decorations
When decorating, the royal family always uses red, purple, pink, blue and white balloons. You can also find a number of excellent online party supply stores where you’ll find all kinds of incredible decorations to brighten up your castle.
You can cover your ceiling in colorful helium balloons, and be sure to decorate your mail box and your front door to help your party guest locate your castle entrance. You might decorate your front door with a colorful balloon archway for your guests to walk under.
Princess Birthday Party Ideas – Games
Pin The Tiara On The Princess
Cut out a picture of a princess from a coloring book, or get a princess poster, then cut out some small paper tiaras that your guests can stick on the picture… Remember to put each child’s name on their tiara.
Enchanted Musical Statues
Have your party guests move to the center of the room. Start playing some music related to your theme. Have your guests start moving and dancing around… Then stop the music and everyone has to freeze like a statues. Anyone who moves is out. Keep repeating this until only one person is left.
Royal Message Relay
Have all your guests sit in a circle. Have your birthday child think of a silly royal phrase or sentence. It might be a funny message for the king and queen… Your birthday child whispers the message to the guest on their right. That child whispers the message to the person on their right until the message travels all the way around the circle to the person sitting just to the left of your birthday child. That child then repeats the message out loud… Then the birthday child tells everyone what the original message was… Everyone gets a turn. The more the message gets mixed up, the more fun it is.
Princess Dress Up
Pick up some fun things like tiaras, mirrors, combs, boas, jewelry, long gloves and even high heels for the young ladies to play with.
And don’t forget to take lots of still pictures and shoot lots of video.
Princess Birthday Party Ideas – Royal Food And Drink
May I suggest the following elegant finger foods be served.
Royal melon, served with tooth picks
Finger sandwiches
Carrot Sticks
Grapes
Celery sticks filled with peanut butter
Purple, red or pink Jelly Beans
Small crackers with cheese
Cherries
Royal orange slices
Apple slices with caramel dip
Strawberries dipped in chocolate
And for those thirsty moments:
Royal punch with sherbet ice cream and a taste of ginger ale
Sparkling grape or apple drink
Lemonade with strawberries
Princess Birthday Party Idea
We hope your child’s enchanted Princess Birthday Party is a big hit and that your child’s birthday wishes and dreams do come true.

Baby’s First Birthday Party: A Fun Milestone For The Whole Family!
Your baby’s first birthday is a time of celebration for the whole family! It may seem like just yesterday that you brought your baby home from the hospital, but here it is–already time to plan your baby’s very first birthday party, and I am sure you are eager to begin.
Your baby’s first birthday is a milestone, but one most celebrated by the family, rather than the child. You may be tempted to buy out the toy store, but at this age, your child is likely to be much more fascinated with the box a toy came in, instead of the toy itself, so you could ask your guests to all chip in on one special gift, such as a youth bed your child will be ready to use in no time, or clothing and more practical gifts. Your child definitely won’t mind, and a few inexpensive, brightly colored learning toys will certainly satisfy your toddler.
If your child has a favorite animated character, consider building a theme party around that character, but often the biggest mistake new parents make, is thinking they should invite every child they know, to their baby’s first party. Though your child is growing quickly, at your baby’s first birthday party, few will have developed interactive socialization skills involving other children their age, and are generally much happier, and more content, around the familiar faces of those they know and love. I recommend close friends and family members to fill the guest list for your child’s first birthday party, but should you decide to invite children from a day care or play group, be certain to choose around nap times, and provide a safe place for all the toddlers to play, such as an enclosed pay area. Be certain to provide spill-proof cups instead of paper party cups, to avoid lots of clean up later.
For this very important first birthday party, one thing not to forget is plenty of film for your camera, or perhaps even splurging on a professional photographer, especially if there are relatives who live far away or are unable to attend the party, they will cherish the photos of your one year old as much as you will, and consider giving your child their own mini cake for the beloved photos of your child digging into the birthday cake. Children do indeed grow up so quickly, but in the years to come, you will cherish the memories of this first birthday party forever!
